Rimini has its own "Solidarity Logistics Platform". Thanks to the efforts of the Rimini Agri-Food Center, area nonprofits will have significant quantities of fresh, top-quality fruits and vegetables available free of charge to be used for the needs of those most in need.
Present at the Caar for the launch of this important initiative were the Bishop of Rimini Nicolò Anselmi, representatives of the Police Force, including the provincial commander of the Rimini Guardia di Finanza Col. t.ST Alessandro Coscarelli, and city councilors Francesca Mattei and Kristian Gianfreda.
Gianni Indino, president CAAR - Centro Agro Alimentare Riminese: "The Fruit Logistica in Berlin recorded great numbers marking the return to normality after the pandemic. During the event, we met with Undersecretary for Agriculture La Pietra, Coldiretti President Prandini and numerous executives to discuss strategies for the future of the sector: a future that could also pass through Rimini, which has been renewed support for its candidacy as the 2024 venue for Wowm, the world conference of wholesale markets."

Watch out for opportunities in the NRP for fruit and vegetable markets as well, the CAAR participated in recent days in the call for proposals that makes available non-repayable funding for the expansion, renovation and modernization of fruit and vegetable markets and logistics services, with the reduction of environmental impacts through energy upgrades and reduction of food waste.
