"It was a prestigious occasion that allowed me to weave relationships and meet the highest officials, from President Macron, whom I invited to the WUWM in Rimini, to the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and many sector operators. I return with the knowledge that transalpine hold in high regard the role of wholesale fruit and vegetable markets for the entire supply chain, while in Italy there is still work to be done on this front."
"I am honored by the invitation and to represent the Italian markets in this heartfelt ceremony as the organizer of the WUWM World Conference in Rimini. It will also be an opportunity for a visit to the Paris fruit and vegetable market and a meeting with WUWM President Layani."
CAAR director Cinzia Furiati: "We are pleased with how the project has developed in this zero year and pleased with the appreciation we have had from the children who have been involved, showing great interest in all the activities proposed. Driven by the many positive feedbacks, we are ready to replicate it in the next school year, expanding the audience of students
The goal: to introduce youngsters to and appreciate the properties and taste of fruits and vegetables. Together with CAAR President Gianni Indino and Director Cinzia Furiati, the children were welcomed by Rimini Mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad and Agriculture Councillor Francesca Mattei.
For the little ones of classes V of the Mother Teresa of Calcutta primary school, a visit to the CAAR, "shopping" for the products offered, then educational games with the nutritionist and "chef trials" together with the students of the IAL of Riccione. The second step of the project will be for everyone the "outing" on the farm
"I thank my colleagues for their trust. I will strive to continue in the wake of what we have done in the first years since the establishment of the Network, focusing on collaborations among our centers and with the region in the internationalization process. I will put just as much effort into putting issues under the lens, starting with a nodal aspect such as distribution, bringing out the potential of our facilities such as the short supply chain. The organization of the WUWM in Rimini will be a very important showcase both for the export of our products and for the whole territory."
